08/23/2017:

This young man is named Liam.  He's approximately 7 years old and came into CLSR from a shelter in the DFW area.  His former family moved and left he and a companion dog behind to fend for themselves.  That didn't go well, of course, but they stayed near their former home and finally a neighbor saw them and fed them, then took them to the shelter after determining that their owners had abandoned them.

In CLSR's care, Liam has been brought up-to-date on his shots, dewormed, microchipped, and neutered.  He has also had a recent dental, during which some loose teeth were pulled. Liam tested heartworm negative, thankfully, and we keep him on monthly meds to prevent it as well.  When he first came in, he had hair loss from flea bite dermatitis, but he's all better from that now, as you can see.  Liam weighs 11 lbs.

This little boy is a very sweet kid!  He gets along well with the other foster dogs here and he LOVES to get attention from his people.  :)  He's crate trained and seems to be mostly potty trained also.  Liam walks okay on leash, but needs more work on it.  He came from a rural area, so maybe he didn't have much practice on this before now.

Liam is a friendly, energetic little guy who would love to be your new Best Buddy.  :)  If you would like to meet him in person, please fill out an application for him at www.camplonestarrescue.org and someone will be in touch very soon to arrange it.  On behalf of Liam and all the other CLSR fosters, thank you for supporting cairn terrier rescue.
