This cute-as-a-button little guy is called Leroy! He arrived into CLSR earlier this year from a local shelter, after being picked up stray and not reclaimed.  Now don't be fooled by the grey hairs -- Mr. Leroy is a young guy who is full of life!  He's guessed to be just under 2 years old.  When he's outside, he loves to go exploring in the yard and help his foster mom in the garden.  Inside, he enjoys chewing on his toys and taking lots of naps.  His absolute favorite activity is sitting with his foster mom and dad while they work on the computer or watch TV.  :)

When Leroy first arrived to us, he tested heartworm positive. However, he has now gone through the full heartworm treatment and is clear of them. He also stays on heartworm preventative monthly to prevent them from ever coming back. Leroy is neutered and he's had a recent dental. He's up-to-date on his shots, has been dewormed, and is micro-chipped also.  Leroy weighs 11.5 lbs.

Leroy is crate trained. He also seems to be potty trained. We take him out every few hours to do his business, but he will also speak up when he needs to go outside to potty. Since he needed to be kept quiet during his heartworm treatment, we have only tested him on walking on lead in the backyard.  He did well on that and, now that's he's through with the treatment, he'll begin taking walks through our neighborhood also.

Leroy has shown himself to be good with other dogs. He's not been possessive of toys, beds, or food bowls. He loves to get attention and to be cuddled. He also loves to follow us where we go to see what we might be going to do. :)  Leroy is a sweet snuggle-bug who is looking for a family to shower him with the love and attention he deserves.
